About Us

Hinkle & Associates, Inc. offers a wide variety of services to meet the different needs of our clients.  We provide all types of commercial real estate appraisal reports and services throughout Oklahoma and more particularly Oklahoma City.  We serve a diverse clientele including lending institutions, mortgage companies, attorneys, city entities, mortgage brokers, and individuals. 






Meet the Team

Terry Hinkle, President

  Terry Hinkle is an Oklahoma Certified General Real Estate Appraiser (#11394CGA).  Terry has been appraising commercial real estate in Oklahoma from 1984 to 1991.  From 1991 to 1993 Terry worked for a bank in San Antonio, Texas as an Appraisal Reviewer that was responsible for the regulatory compliance and contracting of appraisals totaling over 1,100 assets that were valued above $1.5 billion.  


In 1994 Terry moved back to Oklahoma City and started his own appraisal firm. Over time he and his company has completed appraisal assignments for over 50 local, state and regional banks and credit unions.  


He completed all educational, experience and competency requirements for commercial appraisers as set forth by the Oklahoma Real Estate Appraisal Board (OREAB) and is currently certified under their continuing education program.   Terry has voluntarily served on the OREAB Probable Cause Committee and the Standards and Disciplinary Procedures Committee as an Appraiser Hearing Officer since 2006.  


Mr. Hinkle is a member of the Oklahoma Great Plains Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and is also an Affiliate of the Appraisal Institute.    

Eric Hinkle, Senior Associate

 Eric Hinkle is an Oklahoma Certified General Real Estate Appraiser (#13097CGA) from the Oklahoma Real Estate Appraisal Board.  He completed all educational, experience and competency requirements for commercial appraisers as set by the Oklahoma Real Estate Appraisal Board and is currently certified under their continuing education program.  Mr. Hinkle is a member of the Oklahoma Great Plains Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and is also an Affiliate of the Appraisal Institute.   

Lindsey Conant, Senior Associate

Lindsey Conant is an Oklahoma Certified General Real Estate Appraiser (#13105CGA) from the Oklahoma Real Estate Appraisal Board.  She completed all educational, experience and competency requirements for commercial appraisers as set by the Oklahoma Real Estate Appraisal Board and is currently certified under their continuing education program.  Ms. Conant is a member of the Oklahoma Great Plains Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and also a Candidate for Designation of the Appraisal Institute.

With over 60 years of combined experience, Hinkle and Associates, Inc. provides reliable commercial real estate appraisal and consulting services. 

 

  • Expert Witness and Litigation Support - We are equipped to give expert testimony on behalf of our clients in a court of law.  Reliability of expert testimony is based on these four conditions:  testing, peer review, error rates and acceptability in the relavant community.  Expert witness and litigation support has been provided for clients regarding divorce settlement proceedings, stigma cases, estates, partnership disputes and many others. 


  • Portfolio Valuations - Based on the number, experience, and qualifications of our appraisers, Hinkle & Associates, Inc. can easily handle large portfolio valuations.  Our size allows for quality control, cost savings and quicker completion times for these large assignments.  Portfolio valuation assignments have been performed for large high-profile estates, trusts, divorce settlements and numerous other entities which have continued to be impressed with our ability to handle these large and often challenging assignments.


  • Market Rent Studies - Often falling within the consultation practice area of the firm, Hinkle & Associates, Inc. can assist with the analysis regarding the most probable rent that a property should bring in a competitive and open market, reflecting all conditions and restrictions of the lease agreement, including permitted uses, use restrictions expense obligations, term, concessions, renewal and purchase options, and tenant improvement.     


  • Real Estate Appraisal - An appraisal is defined by USPAP as, "the act or process of developing an opinion of value."  The three recognized methods for determining value include:  the Sales Comparison Approach, Income Approach and Cost Approach.  Based on Standards Rule 2-2 of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), real estate appraisal reports must be prepared as either an Appraisal Report or a Restricted Appraisal Report.  The reporting option selected is typically predicated on the determination of the intended user of the appraisal.


  •  Consultation - Consultations are performed for numerous reasons and include providing assistance to clients for due diligence, feasibility studies, market surveys, fundamental market analysis studies and diminution in value studies, etc.
